Professor Donnelly's research focuses on advanced polymeric microneedle arrays for transdermal drug delivery, intradermal vaccines and photosensitisers. He has authored over 600 peer-reviewed publications and his work is funded by BBSRC, EPSRC, MRC, the Wellcome Trust, the Royal Society and the pharmaceutical industry.
